Different bouquets for junior bridesmaids?

Nicoletta, on January 13, 2015 at 12:12 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

Hey ladies, I was just wondering, should my junior BMS carry different bouquets? They are my nieces and they are 12 years old. Right now my BMS are carrying bouquets that are muscari, peonies and pink roses and wearing flower crowns. They are wearing plum dresses. My junior bms are wearing lavender dresses and I made them cherry blossom crowns which are smaller then the BMs crown, should they have different bouquets?

Why not? You can do them the same or different, either way I think it will look pretty. My bridesmaids bouquets look completely different...mine is full of the wedding colors and theirs are just baby's breath to go with the lavender dresses (inspiration photos below). My centerpieces are white hydrangea with baby's breath also

I ended up not having a junior bridesmaid, but when I was going to have one, my plan had been to have them carry a kissing ball. I think having them carry different bouquets would look really cute! They are honestly somewhere between a bridesmaid and a flowergirl anyways, so I think as long as they have a bouquet they will be happy. Smiley smile

I think you can do whatever you want.

I'm doing a scaled down bridesmaids bouquet for my flower girl because my church won't allow petals and I don't like the look of a kissing ball. I'm sure something like that is fine if that's what you prefer.

Also, take into consideration how heavy the bouquet is. The last wedding I was in, the bouquet was a legit arm workout because it was so heavy. My triceps were sore the next day.

Absolutely. I think it's a great idea. As long as they're all coordinated (and after seeing some of your floral work, I'm sure that's not a problem for you), it will look great.

I was thinking of doing an all light pink bouquet for them, although I do really like the look of baby's breath kissing balls.

Mine were about the same, but smaller. I think it would be kinda cute to have them a bit different.
