Different music for seating guests?

Nicole, on June 5, 2018 at 11:41 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5

Hey all!

My wedding coordinator told me it would be a lot easier to have different music playing for seating guests (such as one song for moms, one for grandparents, etc.) that way it will be easier to cue when to begin walking them down the aisle, but now I am lost and have no idea what songs to choose! Is anyone else doing this? Also, any recommendations on songs or advice would be appreciated! It will either be played on the piano or organ. Thanks!

That seems like a lot of different music to me. You'd get to play like 20 seconds of each song.. It's the coordinators job (IMO) to make sure people walk down at the right time. We personally did one song for the processional, one song for the bride processing, and one song for the recessional. Anything else seems like overkill to me.

That's what I plan on doing as well. I'm having the Christmas canon as the regular processional (BMs and GM) and Can't Help Falling In Love With You as my (bride) processional. Then God Blessed The Broken Road as the recessional.

Sorry, but that's ridiculous. Just give your wedding a coordinator a list of people to be seated for the ceremony in order and if she needs it. All the seating can be worked out at a rehearsal 10 minutes before the ceremony.

That seems like too many different songs to me. The grandparents and parents just walked up to instrumental music that was being played before the ceremony at my wedding, then we had the processional music for my BMs, and then a song for my dad and I to walk up to.

That is too many songs. We had one song for the parents, minister, groom and best man then one song for the bridal party and bride. We had some music during the ceremony itself for the ring blessing and unity candle ceremony. Then we had one song at the end of the ceremony for the recessional.
