I wouldn't call it a red flag as long as we could live together with our beliefs.

Totally agree. Having the same moral compass is essential to basic communication and also conflict resolution. Love how you stated it!

God is at the center of our story, He always has been and He always will be Smiley heart , so our shared faith was the first and most important thing to us. The closer we move towards God, the closer we get to one another. We also did Christian pre-marital counseling which was centered around the same principles we know and believe in.

Deal breaker. I am Catholic and my FH is a Nondenominational Christian so it works for us. It's incredibly important for my FH to believe in God as well as know that He plays a major role in our relationship.

Not a deal breaker, though it does upset me that FH doesn't believe in a higher power.

But he did start wearing a crucifix recently, which made me very happy. So, I guess there's possibility there. The main point is that he is an amazing man regardless of his beliefs, and that is why I'm marrying him.

Can be a huge problem - red flag if you plan to be happy

This is a huge deal breaker for me. This is the reason I was super picky about who I dated. He and I have different backgrounds and stories of coming to know Jesus, but we wouldn’t be together if we weren’t on the same page about how important Jesus is in our daily lives.

I don’t mind what religion anyone has, as long as I am not force into theirs. I also don’t care what my kids are going to choose, or not.

Red flag, but not necessarily a deal breaker.
In our case, I've been very fortunate. Whilst he isn't religious as such, he does believe in the philosophy of Jesus and lives accordingly. Knowing that means the world to me.

Neither. We are both christians, but with different confessions. We married in his church, by my choice.

I think it depends on how religious each person is. If one is “Catholic” and one is “Muslim” but neither truly believes then it can work because what difference does it make. But I think if you’re devout and believe that your religious beliefs are the core purpose of life and afterlife then I can’t imagine having a marriage where you can’t share that side with your partner.
