Digital rsvp tracking

Emily, on May 16, 2023 at 10:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Hey everyone, I'm new to this site, but stumbled upon it on a google search. I'm helping my friend with her wedding invitations, she wants to send them digitally and whats to add on the RSVP cards specific number of seats for each guest invited (in other words she has a tight guest list and doesn't want to allow that many plus ones or unexpected guests as there will be seating charts).

Does anyone know on how to do this digitally? All the websites I've looked into (theknot.com, joy, paperlesspost) do not have an option to add the specific number of seats to the rsvp section. Please if anyone can help with this!

Hi, I’m using WithJoy for my wedding. Once you add a guest to the guest list, you can select the specific number of “Plus 1s” for that person using a drop-down tool on the guest management page. When the guest visits the website to RSVP, they can only RSVP for the number that was specified for them.

I’m using The Knot, and you can connect guests to each other so they can only RSVP for people in their group. It also includes the option to add someone’s unnamed guest if you’re giving them a +1. So, for example, if I went to RSVP on your site and you had invited me and FH, I would search for Kimberly and it would pull up both our names to RSVP for both. If you gave me a +1, it would give me the option to add an additional guest. If you only invited me, it would only pull up my name. Generally the inclusion of +1s and kids are specified on the invitation, so the invitation only includes those on the envelope.

Thank you Kimberly for your response!
One quick question though, once the invitation is sent out though does that specific recipient see how many spots are reserved for them? Or is it just when they go RSVP that they can RSVP and the guests I connected with them?

Thank you for your response Mary! On this website can I upload and send my own custom invitation or is it a RSVP collecting website?

Hmm I don’t know if you could upload your own.. I used their templates and built it out from what they had available. There were options for Uploading other photos, so maybe you could upload what you have. It’s completely free, you could create an account and see if it works for you. It had a few snags but has been mostly very easy to use.

The envelope tells them how many people are invited (“Friend + Spouse” or “Friend and Guest” signals two people are invited, while “Friend” signals just that person and “The Friend Family” or “Spouse 1, Spouse 2, and Baby” signals that the kids are invited.) So then when Friend looks up their name on the Knot, depending on whether they’ve been connected to other guests, it’ll just pull the option to RSVP for them, them and a guest, or their whole household. Also when I put just one person’s name on my save the dates, some people followed up with me if they wanted to know if they could bring a plus one.

Take a look at rsvpify.com. When we thought about making a website, before we decided that our guests would not read it, rsvpify.com was the only online widget/site that offered this particular service. They don’t charge extra either.
