Dinner 4 two?

LizS2485, on January 20, 2016 at 4:07 PM Posted in Planning 8 49

So I just received a phone call from this company I saw at a bridal expo saying I won a trip or wedding rings but I have to go to a cooking demo. Has anyone gotten this call or gone to the demo and claimed the prizes? I've googled and it's all mixed responses but no one has said if they've gone on they trip. If it's legit I would be so excited!

I just went through this....BIG SCAM! They do give you a honeymoon/vacation package BUT you have to sit through 2 hours of cookware show. I will warn you now, if you don't plan to buy the cookware, be prepared to get treated like CRAP! I drove 2 hours to the show because we don't have bridal expos around my small town, once I got there they told me we would be having a meeting about the packages. WRONG! As I sit here, they inform everyone that we will get a dinner and a show...again, WRONG! It was 3 cubes of chicken and a tablespoon of veggies. After the show ended, we were told to take a seat outside in the waiting area and someone would come by our table to talk about our package. A few minutes go by and a lady comes to speak with us, of course the first thing out of her mouth is "Do you want to pay the cookware" when we declined (because it was WAY out of our budget), she tried to deal with us and again, we declined! She got EXTREMELY rude with us, threw the honeymoon packages down on the table and says "Pick where you want to go, I don't know anything about them, if your not going to buy the cookware then I'm going over to these people to talk about it" Yes, we got to pick from the package HOWEVER, we were told someone would be there to discuss the packages. There is A LOT of fine print on the packages as well, def not "free" so pick wisely. Also, you want to mention your other "free" gifts or they will try to get by with not giving them to you.

IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: They try to pull on over on you with the cookware, they said everyone who brought the cookware that night would get 40% off the retail pricing however, you have to be a member to buy anyways...therefore the 40% off is bogus, if your a member your going to get that deal anyways and you HAVE to be a member to purchase. So, your not getting a deal anyways.

This is why I advise against going to bridal shows. This won't be your last call either and they will blow up your phone, email and I even had a company mailing stuff to my apartment. I had all my vendors booked and thought it would be "fun!" Worst idea of wedding planning thus far.

Huge scam, went to something similar and I almost fell for it wanting the overpriced cookware even! Looking back I realize that I was brainwashed by the salesperson. Luckily my FH was there with me and googled the brand name of the pots and showed me that there are no reviews online. If something is so popular and magical (as they claim) then you should be able to find great reviews about the product online. Also all their gifts are BS. I wish I didn't waste that night for a lousy 3 pieces of small chicken and veggies and a sales pitch! Don't go!!!

Omg my friend got tricked into it. It lasted TWO AND A HALF HOURS! Just listening to this guy talking about cookware. I went with her. It's legit, but all they want is you to buy their $2,500 pots and pand

IT'S NOT A SCAM. My Fiance and I went last night, there was a presentation where he talked about their company and products, they give a sample of some food, and then give you the free gifts you were promised. We did end up buying the cookware because we need some and it has an amazing warranty (we will never have to buy cookware again) and they have an affordable payment plan. At no point did we feel pressured or treated rudely. Even the couple that just took the gifts and left weren't pressured or treated badly. We were talking to one of the guys doing the presentation afterwards and he was incredibly nice, honest, and explained that this is just how they do their advertising.

In my opinion, if the free stuff (vacation, rings, and engraved glasses) sound like something you want, then go check it out. I felt like two hours of sitting and listening to someone talk just for the chance we got all those free items (which we did) was worth the time. If the free stuff isn't that appealing, than don't go.

We are going to at least go and listen but we don't have any intention on buying anything. We honestly just want the free stuff haha

Holy God. A payment plan for a car, or a house, sure...pots and pans? Bad move.

Gabrielle.. that sounds like gullible to me. Any of those things... the 2,000 vacuum, pots and pans, $1000 knives... the warranties are never as good as they say. You have scratch on them, they say its not covered... there is so much fine prints.

I went today. It''s not a scam, but it is a sales ploy and the stuff the give you isn't 100% free. So you go, they talk about their cookware and make a bit of food for you to sample. The cookware is mega expensive so it's not something I would ever consider, but it does have an OK warranty if your into that sort of thing. The Champagne flutes, is basically a coupon. The give you a voucher, you send it in and have to pay $20 to ship, but they do engrave them so if you want that it's not a bad deal. For the trip, you have to pay the taxes on the room. For the carribean one it's $39 a night, and you also have to pay a $100 refundable deposit. For the hotel in the states the taxes are only $10 a night. So not 100% free, but cheaper than if you were to try and book it on your own. Travel not included and you have to book for a Monday or Tuesday. So if thats, worth 90 min of your time go for it. If not, skip it.

I went and the entire presentation lasted one hour and ten minutes. The guy was really nice, not pushy at all. We ended up getting the champagne flutes, wedding bands and vacation from him. He told us in the beginning he was giving us all of the gifts. It wasn't bad. Very expensive cookware, literally as soon as he passed out the gifts we left. I would definitely recommend it, although I would have not been happy if it was any longer.

Start running as fast as you can this company is a scam. I've taken care of my pots and pans with a glove and so disappointed. They also said no interest charge oh there is an interest!

I got a call as well. I told the lady I would discuss with my FI but we ended up not doing it. The presentation was located too far from where we live and with his work schedule there was no guarantee we could get there on time. Plus it just didn't seem right and we wouldn't be able to pay for the travel anyway.

The only one I have ever gone to that was legit was Inn Seasons/RCI. But if anything ever seems too good to be true, it usually is.

Yes I did, I wasn’t impressed by them. I got myself one. I have small hands and the band looks huge on my finger. I hope this helps.
