So I just received a phone call from this company I saw at a bridal expo saying I won a trip or wedding rings but I have to go to a cooking demo. Has anyone gotten this call or gone to the demo and claimed the prizes? I've googled and it's all mixed responses but no one has said if they've gone on...

If it's legit I would be so excited!

I paid 1400 for cutco knives and it is well worth it! My mother bought cutco knives when my sister was in college 11 years ago and we loved them when she broke one totally her fault she called them they replaced it no questions asked. So if these pans are a well known brand with an awesome warranty they very well may be worth it!

It sounds like a lot of you didn’t even go based on you’re thinking “it’s too good to be true” but, your opinion needs to be heard.
I went with my fiancé and it was a great investment. My parents also have a set from 40+ years ago. You get what you pay for. Like someone has said - check out Williams and Sonoma’s high end cookware. Sure you can cook out of a coffee pot - some things are nicer than others. Up to you to decide.
As far as the gifts, we had to pay shipping for them...if that kills you I’d suggest not going.

I will say after reading all this stuff I was super skeptical and a couple even walked out of the mans pitch after 5 minutes claiming “we read your Yelp reviews” but the pitch was 1.5 hours he started out talking about all the limitations to the prizes aka you pay shipping on rings and champagne flutes and there are certain dates for the all inclusive trips, he also explained very well how all of this works. By mentioning the 3 companies given as prizes they also get brand recognition. The cookware pitch was amazing, the food was great, I was very impressed, although overpriced I did not feel any pressure to buy anything, I actually wish I could have afforded the stuff because I truly was impressed. I asked if we could add to registry unfortunately no. Ultimately if you have a free hour and a half to spare like my fiancé and I, make it a out of the ordinary date night, get some free food, get gifts for free you may or may not use and move on. I think everyone should at least attend. Most gifts have no expiration. Doesn’t hurt to have back up wedding bands or free champagne glasses or a trip you may or may not use. We made of night of it and really enjoyed our time and gifts. We even tried to tip our guy and he refused.

Here we are in 2021 and I just got a text about the same thing earlier in the week. After I said we could make it I didn’t hear back. But honestly I had a prior engagement anyway for that day.

Not a scam. You will get your honeymoon voucher, champagne glasses voucher (or a $200 credit towards a photo printing site) and a $600 gift card for the wedding band rings. The "catch" is you sit through a 90 min product demo of pots and pans (and china). At the end, they will ask if you would like to purchase the pots and pans. You can decline and they will give you the voucher for the honeymoon, rings and glasses(or photos).
My experience was fine, the people were not rude when we declined and they were not pushy. They were also upfront about the taxes, fees, and deposits, and shipping costs for all the gifts.
The honeymoon voucher we choose was for the 3 day, 2 night, all inclusive resort. So yes it is FREE, however whats not covered is a $100 refundable deposit and the hotel taxes/fees, which is about $39 per night of your stay. Which honestly, is fair and not that bad! My fiance and I do actually travel so this is a nice way to save some money on a vacation. We never expected to go on vacation for free, but this voucher will allow us to save money! We would have spent at least $200 anyways on a place to rest our head for two nights, so this isn't any different other than we get to stay someplace way nicer and food/drinks/activities are included. We would not have gotten that for $200. So just view it as a coupon, really. The other gifts, you are given a gift card for a specific dollar amount, (photos are $200, rings are $600 and champagne glasses are $50?) and you just pay the shipping.I only looked at the bands so far and its just $25 to ship each ring. So if you like the wedding bands, just view it as another coupon. The rings on the site were anywhere from $250ish to $400ish.My fiance and I sat through the presentation and did not buy a thing. After about an hour and 45 minutes we were on our way home with vouchers in hand. So if your looking for a way to save some money on things you were already planning on doing/buying, go and get the vouchers all it costs is 90 minutes of your time. The resort stays are not timeshares and they explain to you how they are able to give the stuff away. Which its honestly just a way for them to have good maketing and have good PR with giving the stuff away.Oh, they will cook some food in the pots and then you will eat the food as part of the demo. The pots and pans are expensive! So just be mindful if you decide you like them, its going to be a couple thousand dollars. My opinion, don't buy the pots and pans. Take that money that you would have spent on the pots and pans to go towards other things, like the honeymoon, lol. Or use the money for other things like your wedding, more money for a house down-payment, a car down-payment, savings, or just some money for a rainy day. But! If you really love what they have to offer, then go ahead and get the pots and pans (and china). Its your money, you do what you want with it to make you happiest! Smiley smile I hope this helps!

What company are the rings and glasses from? Did you end up going on the trip?

I don't remember the companies, but yea I did get the rings and overall I was happy with them. Instead of getting the glasses I choose the photo option where you could get a voucher for a printed portrait. The rings aren't going to be anything super super super fancy, but they will be decent and good enough depending on your tast and what you're looking for. I would say if you get your FH ring from there, you'll probably be happy. My opinion is this is a good back up option of getting a ring for if you're like traveling or don't want to wear your real ring somewhere, this is a good idea to get it through them. That way you can get a nice "going out" ring when you don't want to risk losing or damaging the real one.
