I got a phone call from Dinner for two and another one with china in the name. My fiance and i went to both and we didn't buy anything. They really do try to get you to buy and have all these great deals to get you to buy but i went on there website and they have a recall on some pans that they sold from 2004 -2012 so in my opinion that makes them no better than any other place. You would not expect that since the prices for these things range from a a couple hundreds to a few thousand. Unless you can afford that then just avoid it. Sadly us new brides are preyed upon very much. Also for the dinner for two we did recieve two wedding band gift cards but we didn't use them. The rings they offer are not really something i would wear and my fiance already had bougten his ring which was very similar and he got his for less than 100 so for the risk of spending a couple thousand and wasting an hour and half of your day plus driving i would just buy the rings. The second place we went to gave

Us two dollar store champaigne glasses that were very very cheap and a brochure for a trip that i did not try to use because it said you had to pay 50 dollars then book and it had way to many deadlines that screamed red alert to me and i knew they would just eat up my 50 dollars. It's really sad but i would never go again.

I'm planning a trip to hawaii for our honey moon and have found tickects from phx to ohau for around 300 round trip so thats not to bad.

Received the phone call today. Attended Fun 107 Wedding Expo @ White's of Westport on 1/26/14. Joanna told me I had been "selected by the home office" for a 3 day all inclusive at Viva Wyndam resorts in Mexico or Bahamas OR 2 free wedding bands by JVL jewelry. She made sure to tell me it was not a time share and asked when I could meet as I would need to attend an upcoming demo at a hotel to claim prizes. Was told I would get to pick 1 of the prizes regardless of purchasing cookware. Upon looking at bands and the website for the resort, I have decided not to go. The bands are not my style and 2 nights somewhere far away isn't realistic and wouldn't end up being "free". Definitely NOT in a position to spend THOUSANDS of dollars on the cookware either so I am not going to waste my time... I guess if you are into the timeshare thing and are interested in the prizes, go for it. Have read they are very pushy though.

"Nothing comes free." I had been told 2 weeks ago and that I had won either 2 wedding bands ($800 value-we pay $25/ring for insurance) or a 3 day/2 night "all inclusive" trip to 3 different locations to choose from ($800-$1000 value-airfare & taxes not included like most things you win). As well as a few other things that we needed to pay for shipping on and have yet to decide if they're worth it. We had to go to a cooking demo in order to receive any, and if we decided to purchase the pots and pans we would get all the prizes plus! 8 days/7 nights out of 3000 locations (only 10% "all inclusive", airfare not included, but over $1000 value). With my fiance and I having knowledge in the cooking industry knew that the price of the items was worth it-$2600 sounds like a lot but it is worth the investment-(in payment plans of $100/month). When you take into consideration of the hotel expenses, the all inclusive expenses (getting drunk on the beach eating expensive food after scuba diving with turtles), and the worth of wedding bands-buying the pots and pans was worth it. I was looking at that expense of the pans for my honeymoon alone-which would not have been affordable! (Still waiting to hear if my credit app was okay for the pots & pans-if not I don't receive the 8 day trip but can keep the rest)

I have been to two presentations and bought the pots & pans. They are awesome and all the stuff I got with it made it really worth it. I mean yes you have to pay the taxes on the trips and shipping on the other items but it made sense to me and was explained very clearly! Well worth it in the long run, 50 year warranty on the cookware! Not a scam

I got a call today saying I won the bridal package. When I called back to redeem the prize, Kim asked if my fiancé and I could come in on Saturday at either 11 or 2. I told her my fiancé ciyldnt make it that day. She said I no longer won the bridal package because of that. Big scam. Who calls and says that you won and then takes your prize away? Dinner 4 two. Big scam!!!

So where is it not exactly a scam, it is a sales pitch and likely a waste of time. We apparently won the champagne flutes (which according to the other reviews are garbage), access to a coupon website "like groupon" (no thanks, I'll just use Groupon), and our choice of the 3 day vacation or the gift card for the rings. You sit through a 90 minute demonstration of the pots and pans, in an awkward room with 10 other uncomfortable couples, pick your prize and leave. It was so weird and not worth my time. This company seems about as shady as it gets. Why don't they have a website!? The cookware is very expensive. I can't image spending that much on pots and pans (from weirdos) when I have an entire wedding to pay for AND am about to register for all that stuff. Even if the pans are high quality, I wouldn't trust these dudes as far as I could throw them, so why would I want to invest in their company, use their products, and have to deal with them for the lifetime of my cookware, for any warranty claims, etc.? No thanks.

You don't get an opportunity to review the fine print of the vacation before you select it and leave so I didn't trust it. We took the ring gift cards with the intention buying the rings and selling them ( a couple hundred bucks towards the wedding couldn't hurt!). However, if I had gone on Amazon or ebay beforehand, I would have found that these types of Titanium and Tungsten rings go for about $10 - $45 bucks online. Oh but I'll still do it! It's the principle of the matter!

Also - I have gotten several spam TEXT messages since I went. Tip: If you do go, put down a fake email and phone number. You have a form to fill out when you arrive but they do not check your info so just put whatever. If you aren't buying the pots, they have no need for your info besides to bug you or sell it.

Short answer: Don't bother. But if you want to check it out, it won't hurt anything.

The people who are saying this not a scam...I'd like to know how they did it! We went to the presentation and were going to buy the grand package of pots and pans After going through our finances we decided we couldn't afford the payments and backed out, we had 3 days per the contract to withdraw. We were told there was no purchase necessary to win the trip, we just had to attend the sales pitch. When we told our (commission based) sales rep that we wanted to return the purchase, he was extremely rude and sarcastically replied "yeah I hope you two are real happy together!" We sent in all our paperwork and made sure we followed all the required steps and never got our packet in the mail. We've been calling constantly to find out about our guaranteed trip and can't get through to anyone. We've left numerous messages and nobody will get back to us. It is nearing the deadline and we are going to get screwed out of our trip. I took work off and everything to attend this pushy sales presentation and thats the reward we got for it.

We did everything we were suppose to to be eligible for the trip, yet it looks like we are not receiving it. Has anyone actually made it to this "all inclusive resort" yet? I would have budgeted and planned for a honeymoon if I had known, however I was niave and now we are screwed out of any kind of honeymoon. What a waste of my time

Just got the call. Spoke with "Sherri" going Sunday at 6 to listen.. reading all these comments I'm nervous!!! She told me I would get everything (pans, engraved champange glasses, 800 gift card towards wedding bands, and a 3day/2night vaca..) just have to listen to the presentation over the cookware. "Don't have to spend ANY money to get any of the prizes.." 😓😓😓😓

She vene specifically told me it is not a time share and all we have to do is watch people demonstrate cooking with the pans and pots that they sell. I am nervous now. Thinking it is actually a scamSmiley sad

My Fiance and I just went to one of these this weekend. The presentation rep Matt was very quick about his overall presentation as he had been doing it for "26 years", was funny and sarcastic about most of it. It made of an awkwardly funny 2 hours over all. We went into it knowing they were going to try and sell us something so we made the best of it. He served us chicken and veggies on a simple plate, nothing to write home about, and we did get free gifts. We're looking into the acceptability of the 2 nights three days voucher we received and will look into adding to our honeymoon so we at least get two nights "free" to save some money. It's a get you to buy stuff you don't really need kinda thing, but I guess we were at least lucky to have a rep who knew his stuff and who made some really valid points about the products. We didn't buy but ave been thinking about at least some of the pieces since.

My ex-husband and I did this about 10 years ago (I don't know if it was the same company or not, but I don't think so). We bought the cookware (very expensive). I did use it for 10 years though, and was only unhappy with one of the pans (the bottom separated from the pan and it wasn't functional). We did get a trip to vegas and went on it and everything went smoothly. I don't receiving any gifts from that one.

Got a call today after going to a wedding expo and I might go to the DInner4two one because the gifts sound nice. But won't be buying a new set.
