Dinnerware reviews??

Kate, on May 14, 2018 at 12:33 AM Posted in Registry 0 5

Hey all, my fiancé and I are attempting to find dinnerware for our registry and are having a hard time! We're more on the modern/minimalist/mid-century modern side, and are looking for something that can withstand daily use and microwaving/dishwashing. Loved the Marin by Crate & Barrel but were disappointed to see the reviews online...they look terrible after about a year.

We also love the Joshua Dinnerware by Pottery Barn, but since their site doesn't offer reviews, we're hesitant to make that our go-to. It's also stoneware vs. porcelain. Anyone tried it?

Also on our consideration list: Canvas Homestore "Shell Bisque," Heath Ceramics "Octavia" Coupe Line and Year & Day dinnerware.

Would love to hear your thoughts/reviews, and any other suggestions! Thanks in advance.

    We registered on Amazon.
Even if you don't do a registry on their site, you can use it to look at reviews about the different brands available at the stores you are registered at.

I’m personally a Fiesta gal and it’s not porcelain. I don’t use China so I don’t think it would be worth it. I have had my Fiestaware for years and it’s sturdy and made in the US (I like to stick with US and Europe myself because I don’t trust the paints from other places...) It originated in the 30s but isn’t sleek modern, more deco. They have added new shapes and colors though that may appeal to you. sorry I don’t know about the PB stuff or others.

I left stuff from Mikasa. They have been around forever. Check out their website.

FH and I love our Noritake Colorwave. We've had them since Christmas '16 and they still look brand new.

If the item is on Amazon, you can see how accurate the reviews are with reviewmeta.com , it filters out fake reviews, or at least tries to. You don’t actually need to get it from amazon, but I think that site only works with amazon links.
