I'm so sorry that you haven't had much luck finding a dress yet! Dress shopping is stressful, but you will find one you love eventually! Don't give up. When you try on a dress that you like some parts of, ask if you're able to customize the parts you don't like to make them into a dress you love. For example, if you love the beading on a dress, but dislike the skirt shape, ask if the dress could be ordered with a different skirt shape that you like better. There are also websites (such as Anomalie) where you can design a custom wedding gown. If you decide to design your own, I suggest continuing to try on dresses in person, and take note of what you like/dislike, so you can apply those to your dress design.

I’m sorry you’re struggling with dress shopping! Are you bringing someone supportive who knows your style? I shopped pre-covid and couldn’t not bring my mom, but she was zero help, she said I looked beautiful in everything. My MOH was able to give objective opinions and feedback.
We’re there things about any of the dresses you tried that you did like? Are the consultants helping make suggestions based on what you liked and didn’t like about each gown you tried? Have you been to any shops that specialize in plus size wedding dresses?
Also, I HATED the Davis bridal shapewear/slip they put me in and took it off after dress one because it cut me weird and made me feel like an over-stuffed sausage. I wore my own shapewear to the appointments because I knew I’d be wearing on the day. I’m sorry this has been a bad experience so far!

I’m petrified of trying on wedding dresses!!! My sweet 16 started the fear, my bridesmaids decided to make a day out of it. They picked me up and we went together, no expectations, no stress, no opinions... just me and some sparkly gowns. It was nice to have be so relaxed... maybe try something like that.

I’m so sorry you’re having a hard time. For some dress shopping is more stressful that fun. It was stressful for me too. Hang in there, try again in a few weeks.

I'm sorry you are having a hard time. I am a plus size bride too and hated everything that I thought would have looked good and flattering on my body. Then the consultant pulled a dress I would have never wanted to try on and it was the one! There is a dress out the for you!

Depending on where you live.... Annomalie is based out of CA, ieie Bridal is another based in NJ ... I custom made my dress with ieie bridal and Wendy is working with me on some things, she has been amazing!

Im so sorry you feel this way. I'm a plus size bride as well. I felt this way after the first handful of dresses, I wasn't really liking anything. Finally I tried on some things I thought I was going to hate, I didn't want anything form fitting. The consultant found one that I fell in love with and it made me feel great. There's a perfect dress out there for you, so keep your head up.

My suggestion would be just grab random dresses. Don’t look at certain styles or shapes. Just grab anything in your size. You would be surprised what you might like. I tried on at least 12 different gowns in one day and ended up buying the first one I tried on.
FYI - always be open for alterations. They can change the way a dress fits on you!

First off congratulations!!!! You are getting married 😭😍💕💁‍♀️ I'm so sorry that you haven't felt like you found the right dress for you, but I am 100% positive you will find it at the right time and when you do you will feel just as amazingly beautiful as I'm most certainly sure you are girl!!! I understand you so much! marrying my high school sweet heart 8 years later and I gained over 45lbs. I struggled even finding a dress for my engagement photoshoot because I didn't feel comfortable in my own body... What I came to realize was that he chose me and to him I am beautiful and everything he wants me to be. I found my dress for engagement and found both my dresses for my wedding day. was it easy no way. but have I grown and became more confident in who I am and how I feel being bride 100% yes! We all have different body types but that doesn't define how beautiful we all are in our own ways. I stopped focusing on how all these dresses would look like on other brides and instead focused on what made me feel beautiful and comfortable in my own skin. tips that helped me was finding what I liked about myself, body, and what I was for sure looking in my gown. Step by step lead me to finding my gowns.
