Okay anyone else gone to the same makeup artist a second time and why? I’ve gotten my makeup done by someone I liked and she did a good job and I thought it looked great at the time. but everyone in my family on both sides is telling me that I look I’m going to work and I got an everyday look. I’m about 60 days from my date and losing my mind at this point and I don’t want to look for someone else already lmao these makeup trials cost money and this girl did a good job!! They’re saying it’s not logical to assume the makeup will be done how I want it that day, and that I should see how she does it before hand.

Honestly I think you look really nice and simply asking for a more dramatic eyeshadow would pop your look right into bridal territory! I can't imagine a second trial being needed for that...

I agree. I did another trial with my makeup person though and she was super great with the feedback I had and I love how it came out the second time

Looks like she did a very nice job. I'm sure you can have her make changes without needing another trial. Those prices add up fast!

Trails are expensive cheap ones here are like 50 bucks. Plus she proved she was good when and if I get my trail I do not want the same exact look of my wedding day. I want that to be a surprise.

I think it looks really good and I agree with a PP that said just to tell the MUA that you want a more dramatic look on your eyes and you'll be out of the "going to work" zone.

I'm going to have a second trial with my girl. But she's not charging me. She did a really great job on my makeup but I don't think she totally got my vision that day. I texted her to explain some differences I wanted and she said we could do a second trial at no charge.

I agree, I wouldn't go for a second trial. Maybe just call or email her and let her know your concerns about maybe something a little bit more dramatic and she should be able and willing to accomodate. If you like a more subtle look, your original trial looks great. Make sure you aren't going with something a little heavier just because of what your family says. It's your wedding and you'll be the one wearing it all day. Go with what makes you happy.

I agree that you look great and can always just ask for a little more. I also am a fan of more subtle makeup and not too much.

I personally think that she did a good job if you were just attending a party or if it was done for your birthday! However, it’s your wedding day and you really want to stand out. You are already beautiful, you just want some more drama on those eyes, a more defined shape on the eyebrows and some highlights on the cheeks! One more trial can’t hurt just to ensure that she can get the job done properly for your big day!

I had an initial trial and then a second- still not happy so I’m looking for a different MUA this time. The first pic is trial 1 and the second is trial 2.
I felt unimpressed and that I could do my makeup better the day of. So now I’ve decided to find another vendor and see what they’re able to do!

What look were YOU going for on your wedding day? you look for natural, if you want more of a pop dramatic look then she needs to do darker colors around your eyes, cheeks, lips for that drama but tell her that, she didnt do a bad job. Just remember that the camera will add light so you do need to go a bit darker for makeup.

I did my trial for our engagement pics, loved the makeup and the hair fell in less than 45 min. I've booked another HAIR trial and they are throwing in a new makeup trial because the artist is a new person and they want to show me what the new person will do.

These were some looks that I tried. I love color and would have adored to have my lips pop but I heard that red is a bit of a tough color-just need to get the right lipstick that will not be so obvious throughout the night that it’s not lasting lol
