Disney Beauty and the Beast wedding

gwenandlee, on May 19, 2009 at 6:46 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

My sweeties and I have decided to have a Beauty and the Beast wedding. I'm kind of all for it. I'm afraid that if the theme is to strong it will beat my guests over the head with it. No pumpkin coaches, glass slippers or castle votives. We are thinking about having "Be our Guest" play while dinner is first being served. Maybe have a castle cake top with figurines from the movie around it. Hopefully name the tables after the characters (no Le Fool table though). Any ideas...

I like the idea! Be my guest while dinner is first being served is nice, same with the table names, How about the first dance from one of the song Belle and the beast dance too? Perhaps have a nice rich yellow for one of your colors (just as an accent)?

You should do something with the beast's red rose! Maybe red rose petals everywhere, but I don't know if people would get that...

Or do something French! Like the food and wine or something! Or have tea served sometime in tea pots that look like Mrs. Potts! I think if you implement your theme in unique and creative ways it won't be beating your guests over the head. Good luck!

Don't do the figurines. but do do subtle themes tied in a classy way..french food...elegant decorations, roses in your bouquet, and your dress and his suit similar to the ones in the movie (without being over the top or identical). There are plenty of other ideas I would love to share.

I love the idea of "Tale As Old As Time" being your first dance! Very cute!

I too agree with doing something with roses.

I think Lenox has a Beauty and the Beast Cake Topper as might Disney Store. I'm going to Disney World next year for my Belated Honeymoon and 3 Year Anniversary with my hubby. If you see anything you like or might be park Exclusives, I can take pictures and e-mail them to you and even take note of which store and the price and barcode (pictures) and give you Disney's Mail Order number for Park Exclusives and if you see anything you like you can order it from them. Arribas Bros, http://www.arribasbros.com might be able to help you find some Beauty and the Beast Blown Glass Figurines to place as Centerpieces with Candelabras like Lumierre on your tables for the "Be Our Guest" theme. The "Beauty and the Beast" song would be perfect or "Something There" would be perfect songs to play too. If you want to make your own STDs with pictures of Belle and Beast or one of the other characters, I can see if I can get pix at Disney for you of them to go with your theme.

A friend of mine made a postcard with Belle that Says "Be our Guest at Walt Disney World", but you can always change the "At Walt Disney World" to your names and Wedding date. It's really cute and I can scan it and e-mail it to you. He has given permission for anyone to use these. I might have something you can use as place cards too.

As a designer who does the Disney weddings ( we are close to Disneyland) I have done a few theme weddings with Belle & the Beast.

You can find wedding themed statues on the Disney website and they add new ones each year.

I was at Disneyland on Wednesday and saw the rose under glass in the crystal shop, so it may be available on line as well.

This could also be recreated as a centerpiece using Botanical glass dome Bell covers and a single rose placed in a silver budvase, It would be a real WOW factor. I thionk the bells are available from www.Marthastewart.com

Using the colors of Belles gown and the red rose with crystal as pretty accents.

Silver candlesticks with LED taper candles can have the French feel without the open flame problems.

The wedding cake can be decorated with patterns and designs and topped with Bele & beast they sell the cake topper size at the parks

Subtle and fun touches are best. If you do too much theme stuff it looks like a childs Birthday party

This site might be able to help you. I found a couple different cake toppers, toasting flutes, cake server set, picture frame, etc. all in Disney Beauty and the Beast. http://www.fairytaleweddingstore.com/rcProdmain.asp?id=67

I am a HUGE Disney fan and actually the designer I am having doing my dress bases her wedding gowns off of the Disney Princess dresses (Kirstie Kelly). But Disney now has wedding/ reception line. I think its David Tultara (or something like that) he has his own show on Style I think where he goes in an helps brides at the end of their planning. But you could also find a more refined version of the song "Be Our Guest" that might not be the original version but a sting version or something that is just a little more refined. This may help it be not to over the top. But come on if your doing Disney you have to go all the way =0) Good Luck and I LOVE LOVE LOVE your theme.

This sounds like fun! Your guests will surely remember your wedding and so. of course, will you. Beauty and the Beast is a wonderful and romantic tale and the theme song sounds wonderful on harp! It might, actually, make a very nice processional - a great way to establish the theme right from the beginning.

    Best wishes!

I'm adding a couple B&B things to my wedding too. Nothing overkill, it's just a couple things like the topper and my garter. I may have to steal "Be our guests" when dinner first gets served!

I have seen some gorgeous B&B snowglobes, you could look into having them as your gift to your guests (maybe even engrave them with your names/date?) or as certerpieces Smiley smile Have FUN!!
