Disney Centerpieces

Victoria, on October 24, 2017 at 11:04 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 23

We are planning a Disney themed wedding in October 2019. Our ceremony is going to be just Mickey and Minnie, but the reception is going to be all out Disney. The bar is the mad hatter's villains lounge and the smores station is going to be the sidekick's smores bar. Our tables are going to be different Disney movies, but we are stuck on how to make the centerpieces represent each movie. Our linens and tableware are going to be all different colors to match the movies, so matching colors isn't really the problem. Any ideas? trying to stay away from flowers.

I'm picturing black silhouettes of the main character(s) with candles and the accompanying color pallettes.

We went to an Alice and Wonderland tea Party, at a restaurant on Saturday. The centerpieces and décor were very subtle; no cartoon characters.

We are doing Disney too! Each centerpiece is different. For example, Alice in Wonderland has stacks of topsy turvy teacups.

I would have used different flowers (or other things) for each table. Roses for Beauty and the Beast, cherry blossoms for Mulan, apples for Snow White, etc.) but FH vetoed.

this was one of my first theme ideas. I was going to keep an overall color/ style theme and then incorporate items from each movie, like a lamp like genie's and a tiger statue for Aladdin, some beach/ ocean stuff and a dinglehopper (fork) for little mermaid, a 3-candle candelabra and a rose in a bell jar for beauty and the beast, lion statue and African stuff for lion king, lantern and the sun symbol for tangled, paper lantern and Chinese Dragon for Mulan, etc

We both love movies so we are doing a love-related quote on each table from a different movie. You could do the same with different Disney movies as an addition to your centerpieces.

I know you aren't matching colors, but I'd try to find a common thread to link them all together. I think if you have too many different concepts going on, it may feel disjointed. I really like your original idea of different flowers. It's subtle, yet impactful. Here's an idea. You'll probably want to add some more variation.

I had a Disney themed shower and it was amazing! Each table was a different princess.

Belle-books, rose in a jar, and a mirror

Cinderella- carriage, white pumpkins, and glass slipper

Rapunzel- braided wig coming out of a tower with flowers and lanterns

Ariel- fishing net, sea shells, a fork, and a treasure chest

Snow white- apples a wood slab a bird and mirror
