FH and I decided to have a Disney themed wedding (well I decided and he agreed) since Disney has been a big part of our relationship from the very beginning, so much so that he proposed while on one of our trips. So we decided to do a Tangled theme- for many reasons but we both clearly said we want to make sure it isn't overpowering to where it feels like we are at a child's bday party. We want it to still be classy/elegant. So that's where my issue lies. Idk exactly how to incorporate the theme without overdoing it.

I have some subtle things such as our colors- Regency, Lilac, Gold and White

I'm thinking of walking down the aisle to "I See the Light" (instrumental)

Our Card box will be Tangled theme. Thinking about a cake topper to say "Best Day Ever" and a sign at the guestbook table that says "You were my new dream...and you were mine"

Any suggestions of other little details I can add? I thought about adding flags to the courtyard and making it look like in the pic attached

To me, incorporating the hair crosses the line into cosplay. For me, again, for ME, a wedding is not the place for cosplay. That's saying something, because I LOVE cosplay.

As I said before, there is a very fine line you walk between having a wedding be "inspired by" something, and being "heavily themed/based upon" at which point it starts edging into kids birthday.

Love this movie. I am walking down the aisle to "I see the light"... plus the dress I am loving at the moment is Alfred Angelo's Rapunzel design. My fiancé also proposed to me at Disneyland. If I see some ideas I will pass them along here.

Oh my god I'm walking down to I See The Light now. Why didn't I think of this before????????? I was already thinking of watching it tonight (yup 31 years old and regularly watching Disney movies after stressful days/long weeks) and now i will for sure.

I love the flags idea. Will feel like the festival day. And I love the cake topper. Maybe if you do favors you could theme them a bit? Present them in boxes with her flower/star design? Work some of the sentiments of the movie into your vows?

I love this. I can't wait to see pictures. Good luck!!

I think making the courtyard look more like the picture will be great. After that, I think you should just stick with the elements you have! I do gotta say though that your wedding sounds like it will be beautiful.

There is a lot of tangled themed ideas on Pinterest! I've always though using the flowers in her braided hair as pieces of the center piece would be a cute idea. And obviously some sort of lantern.

As others as already said, the only thing I thought of was releasing the lanterns at the end of the night. That sounds fun!

I think those lanterns they have would be awesome to decorate with. And do your hair in a bride with flowers in it! So fun!!!

Awww I love this and Disney!! I really like your ideas so far. I wouldn't go too overboard with more details. It can start to look a little tacky in my opinion. I like your subtle theme ideas and you should totally release lanterns if you can!!

    =)

Tangled is my favorite! I would say stick mostly with the colors. You could incorporate the colors into centerpieces too. Purple and yellow flowers or lanterns

I haven't seen the movie but what about incorporating the theme with your tables. For example, my theme was Jurassic Park and each table was named after a dinosaur. You could also do something with the cake or have a cake topper with the main characters. You have some great ideas so far, keep it up!!

Thanks so much everybody. I will for sure follow through with the ideas I currently already had and incorporate small details here and there. We are planning to use a company called Big Ass Balloons with LED lights held on string to give it a floating lantern effect

Gold will help so much! Look on Pinterest and other sites so gather inspiration! The devil is in the details and that will separate it from a party to a wedding Smiley smile

    I love your theme btw!
