Disney World Honeymoon-Travel Agent Help!

Victoria, on October 18, 2017 at 12:00 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 29

I am totally lost when it comes to all the booking everything involved with Disney World, and planning a wedding is quite overwhelming for me already, so I need guidance/direction.

Can anyone direct me to a free? Travel Agent to help with all the bookings/build an itinerary, find discounts and add all that special honeymoon stuff, based on my small budget?

THANK YOU ALL!

Use triple A. They are wonderful and will take care of everything for you! We are doing Disney as our honeymoon to and they always have the best deals!

I am also going to WDW for our honeymoon in Jan 2018. Best thing to do is do as much research on the actual Disney websites, find the places you want to eat at you can go through Disney Dining (calling Disney directly) they can set that all up for you! We also asked our immediate family for Disney gift cards to use on our honeymoon, but by calling them they are also able to answer any questions you have. I used to work for Disneyland, and going though them directly for help is always best, they also have their own travel agents.

I highly recommend going to Triple A, they were a dream to work with when my family took a trip to Disney a few years ago. My Gram booked the whole thing through them for all 10 of us who were going and she said she couldn't have done it without them.

I have no recommendations on travel agents, but If you decide you wanna end up planning yourself check out the undercover tourist website.. it seems sketchy but it's legit. I planned our whole universal Orlando vacation through there and ended up getting buy two days get two days free park tickets for like $350 bucks, it was such a steal.

I know they have deals for Disney like this too Smiley smile

We're going to Disney for our honeymoon.. our friend is an agent who is planning everything. It overwhelmed me to even think about it. AAA would be a great option.

I second AAA! We are going in December for my son's birthday and we booked through AAA. It didn't cost us anything because we are members. It has been so easy going through them.

You wanna use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. They are free and can get you extra goodies, give you awesome advice, help with reservations, etc. When we were thinking Disney I was working with Be Our Guest Vacations.

We're doing Disney World for our honeymoon too. We're also doing Universal. I booked the tickets through Undercover Tourist because the deal they had got me tickets with an extra day in Disney World and an extra day at Universal for $80 less than I would have paid for fewer tickets purchased from Disney.

ETA: Small World Vacations is an authorized Disney travel agent which means they are free.

For the room I used Small World Vacations. They book whatever you want (I only booked the hotel) and then keep an eye on the reservation. If prices drop, they get you the discounted rate or if there's a new package, they'll get you the new package. Even though I only booked the room with them, they came back two weeks ago and told me that the room had a discount! I saved an additional $60!

We also booked a Pirates and Pals cruise, that we did with Disney directly.

Be warned: With regards to Disney, the Dining Plan is only available in their packages. So if you specifically want a dining plan, you need to book the room and tickets together.

I recommend getting the Birnbaum's guide because 1-It will get you super hyped and 2- It will make the most pertinent information more accessible, even though there are like 800 page guides out there. I've found Birnbaum's the most helpful for Disney World.

You also will want to book 6 months in advance if you are looking to do any table-service meals because those restaurants book up THAT EARLY. I was on that site at 7AM the morning that my reservation window was open. I knew exactly where I was going and what day and I was able to get a reservation at every single restaurant I wanted including a prime dinner reservation at Be Our Guest.

We've used mouse savers and under cover tourist a lot for our WDW planning. We also used small world travel agency once and we really liked it.

I'm so glad more people used undercover tourist! Was on the only one who thought that the tickets were gonna be fake? Lmao once the tickets scanned and we had no problems I was so happy. I thought the price was too good to be true

Have any of you stayed in the "value resorts"?

@Jaclyn - I was also afraid of that! But I read reviews on MouseSavers and then I read other people on here used them so I went with it. When I was able to link my tickets to the MyDisneyExperience thing I sighed in relief.

@Victoria - I only ever stay in the Value Resorts. They're motelish type, but I'm spending all my time in the parks and on the property. They're not super, but they're not bad and still get pretty good reviews on TripAdvisor. That's my personal choice. I'm not there for the hotel, I'm at the hotel to sleep and keep my stuff. If you're looking to take a few days and just stay in the hotel to relax, you might consider upgrading to moderate for a day or two.

@Victoria I went in to my local AAA place so I could actually sit down with an agent. They have books galore and can customize it to what you want.

I'm going to Disney in 11 days! I just booked through Disney, but definitely plan ahead with dining and fast passes! I drove my FH crazy with all my planning, but it'll be his first time! We're staying at a value resort, they're definitely fine, especially since we won't be in the rooms that much!
