Has anyone been to either for Honeymoon and where did you stay or have any suggestions for places in Florida. I prefer to stay around Florida since we are already there for the wedding. TIA.

Depending on how long you're there, why not do both? You can really get BOTH Universal Parks done in a day. But as for where to stay, I've always liked the Old Key West Resort and the Animal Kingdom lodge looks amazing

Amber- Port Orleans is a nice hotel. It's actually one of their smaller ones, which is nicer if you want to walk to their store/pool. Which Port Orleans are you staying at, Riverside or French Quarter? I've stayed at both, but prefer Riverside. (you can walk to and from each one as well)Riverside has the carriage rides that you're looking for. It also has a great comedy show at night with Bob. I HIGHLY recommend seeing him at least once while you're there.

I went to both universal parks ( & if we wouldnt have bought the express pass in both parks one day) we would have NEVER made it one day (let alone one day each park) WE did however ride EVERY SINGLE ride there was in one day.

Universal Studios has a more adult feeling to it IMO. I can't understand people who want to be around screaming kids on their honeymoon at Disney. But that's just me!

We were just at Universal and we stayed at Cabana Bay - pretty affordable and they offer transportation to the park:

I have never been to either but we are planning to go to both for our honeymoon. We both love Disney and I want to go to Universal just to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Our honeymoon will be about a week and we won't be going until about 9 months after our wedding so we can make sure we have enough for the trip Smiley smile

If I had to pick, though...I think I'd go with DW because the only reason I want to go to Universal is purely because of Harry Potter World lol

Kristenann we are making reservations today. We're going with the Port Orleans Riverside. I've had several of my friends recommend it. Will definitely look into the Comedy show. Thanks!

From MitoMo - Harry Potter is the only reason I wanted to go to Universal! I've already been there a few times and experienced most of the rides. Haven't been to Disney since I was 4.

I don't think we can afford to do both.

I'm 99% sure we will do DW for our HM. @Amber - Make sure to make your dining reservations ASAP! They let guests make reservations up to 180 days in advance, and some restaurants (like Be Our Guest) book up crazy fast!

Unless your going on the off season. Theres nothing romantic about disney or univeral- long ass lines. Screaming kids everywhere. Scorching heat. No thanks. Ive had fun at their park only in the off season. No lines no heat. Fun!! Smiley smile good luck
