Anyone else planning a Disneymoon? I'm so excited, might actually be a little more excited for this than the actual wedding. We will be here June 1st-8th and are staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

So highly recommend the dining plan!! I would also suggest getting reservation for Polynesian O'Hana restaurant, and at the Yacht Club, think it is Cape May is the name of the restaurant. Disney just feels magical. I hope you have a blast!

@FutureMrsMerritt, how do you like being a Vacation Club Member? FH just recently really got into Disney after we went for a long weekend and we had talked about it. Is it really that good on discounts?

Oh...in Epcot, in the Japan part...there is a great restaurant with Hibachi Grill right at your table, and the formal dining in the small location is very good as well. This was where we ate on dinner, and late night dinner before NYE 2012. It was a blast!

@Melissa- I love it! Because you aren't just limited to Disney World parks you can actually go to Africa, Europe, Asia, South America and Disney Cruises. There are also no blackout dates. With DVC you can get discounts on restaurants if you decide not to do dining plan. Because they go by points it also makes it easier to stay at the nicer resorts because it is all basically pre-paid depending on how many points you buy. The points also roll over to the next year if you do not use them and you can go as many times as you want in one year. We usually go 2-3 times a year. I would go with pre-owned points, as they are cheaper. The only difference between that and new points is that the pre-owned expire if they are not used by a certain time. DVC has only been around for 20 years at the most and they expire at 50 years. So when you buy used you still have almost 30 years if not more before they expire. It is so worth it. We do it because when we have kids we want them to be able to go a lot and do that as the big family vacation each year. I would say it is worth it if you plan to go at least once a year on vacation, just remember it isn't just Disney World you are limited too, they work with other partner hotels like in New York, South Carolina and other places in Europe so you can vacation their with your points.

If this is something you decide isn't really you, I also got the Disney credit card and with that you get discounts off the food and some merchandise between 10- 15%. So it is not a huge discount but rather then paying cash for everything I can just set aside the money and use the credit card to get a discount. It also gives cash back, right on their site it has a calculator for what you spend on groceries and gas and all that and it will tell you how much cash back you will receive each month by using it for those items. I plan to only use the card in Disney though and also use it on gas for the cash back. This may be a better option if you just want to save on food and stuff while you stay there and could care less about saving on the hotels. The credit card saves no money there. I am doing both because I would like to save everywhere lol. I am usually against credit cards but I see this one as helping us financially. Hope this helped!

Thanks for your help! Yeah I'm kind of thinking we would do it because not only do we like Disney, but we'd like to travel more internationally as well. We already have the Disney credit card and have been cashing in the points on that for the Redemption card to help pay on the honeymoon. We'll definitely have to check into the Vacation Club after the honeymoon!

We definitely went with the dining plan! FH said he felt better knowing some of our meals were "already paid for" and he kept him at ease about paying once were there. We're big eaters so the meal plan is perfect for us! I have our meals planned each day, down to the snacks haha.

I am getting married next year and we are considering a Disneymoon! I would love to hear all about yours! I have been researching and looking for reviews for "adult disney trips".
