Disposable camera for destination wedding

Could you buy the cameras in Italy and then ship them back to the US? Or ship them both ways if you have to buy them in the US?

You could ask for your photographer's help to get them developed locally and send you the digital copies?

I've put regular film in an x ray before, and it was fine. I believe, could be wrong, that only a high end film (above a very specific grade) is affected by x ray.


Do you speak enough Italian to ask that the film be hand checked? Whether they'll do it probably depends on the individual agent.
I'd also think through the expense and logistics of transporting disposable cameras. If they get lost, the photos are lost. Guests might just choose to take photos with their phones
