Dispute

Erika, on May 4, 2021 at 11:18 AM Posted in Account Support 0 10

I received an email on a review I wrote. I was informed it was disputed and that someone would reach out to me. It has been about a month and no one has contacted me. I feel like our reviews as brides and grooms should matter and if has been disputed that we should be able to explain our side before deleting the entire thing.

This unfortunately seems to happen all the time on WW. I would never recommend that brides book a vendor solely based on WW reviews, because the negative ones are routinely "disputed" and removed. The Knot is much better for the purposes of vendor reviews, because they don't remove the negative ones

This is a frequent occurrence unfortunately. Reviews on Google Maps and Yelp are pretty unbiased.

I’ve seen this subject brought up multiple times on WW. When I first joined the site, I had planned on utilizing the vendor tabs. But, after realizing the reviews are not actually representative, and that negative reviews are deleted, I will definitely NOT be using vendors here. As a previous poster mentioned, there are many other sites that give honest, credible reviews of vendors. I would highly suggest using one of them rather than WW.

So much promotion for this site and it's all a scam. I learned the hard way I guess. Thanks so much for the input Smiley smile Luckily I have found an amazing photographer and we couldn't be more excited for 6/18/22...

Thanks! I definitely did see that. So I try and view as much about the vendor now before even contacting them. I go on google, yelp, Instagram comments and tags LOL

You're smart! I took some into consideration but I actually ended up booking most of them through a bridal even that my venue hosted Smiley heart

I would keep posting the review. Maybe they will get sick of deleting it and actually reach out to you about it. Your review deserves to be posted and seen.

I agree with this. There are several posts where some ladies say they will only talk to vendors with reviews posted so keep putting it out there for someone to see.

Hi Erika, I'm sorry to hear you didn't get a quick reply, who did you reach out to? The direct way to contact the reviews team is reviewinquiry@weddingpro.com. I'd ask them if they can update you on what happened with your review/the dispute.

    Yeah, this is common.

Back when WW was new, I posted a review of my florist (different account back then). It wasn't even "negative", it was a 3-star review that pointed out all of the issues I had (like not getting all of the flowers I paid for - kind of important, and good information for other brides looking to book.)

The vendor disputed it almost two years later, claiming I had never used their service, and WW wanted me to send a copy of my receipts/contracts to put my review back up. In most circumstances, I would say this is a good system to make sure that reviews are legitimate, but the fact that it was so much later is a problem. There should be a time limit - more than year after the posting of the review, they shouldn't be allowed to dispute.
