Ditching the ceremony and having a reception

Girl, do what you want!! There's nothing wrong with wearing a wedding dress at a reception honoring your marriage.

Yes you definitely can do that! I will be wearing me original wedding gown to our upcoming reception. We had a microwedding last year with 35 guests but I wore a simple white dress. We postponed the reception until this October and best believe I am wearing my big dress!

My cousin did this! They got married at the Justice of the Peace with just their parents and her sister. A few months later they had a celebratory party at her parents house and she wore her dress! I'm not sure if she wore it the whole time (we are out of town from them so we could not attend) but I know she at least put it on for pictures! You might as well get all the use out of it as you can!
