So happy with the outcome of my aisle runner. I had a lil teardrop after looking at it when I was finished.

First I created a template in publisher of our monogram using different text boxes. Printed it out and took it to Staples and had them to enlarge it $3.49. Originally I printed it out and was going to tape all the pages together and decided that was too much for me.

I layed the enlarged copy on my table first and then the aisle runner (Joann Fabric with coupon $11)and traced the design. I used acrylic paints and paint markers was a huge plus. If you are like me and can't stay inside the lines I recommend getting them they make your lines and edges very sharp. I didn't like the black acrylic paint it was too watery so I just used the paint marker. I oulined my design with the markers and lightly sprayed glitter spray on the design and sparkles.

How did you trace the template onto the aisle runner? Is the runner made of fabric that you could see through to the template? It looks amazing!!

@Danielle C. Yes just about all aisle runner are thin enough for u too see through. The fabric felt like a thick napkin/tablecloth type

Where on the runner did you position the monogram? I mean is it centered half way up the runner?

@Kiera S. I put it somewhat in the middle but s lil at the end so its kinda the first thing I see when I look at aisle. After the wedding I'm cutting it from the design part and hanging it up in the house

@teenageloveaffair - when I showed him this he actually really really liked it so he worked on a monogram for about 2 hours on his ipad and emailed it to me :-) Love when he gets involved and again thank you for the inspiration and step by step ! Going to pick up the supplies today and work on it next weekend.

Great job, I thought I would have to pay a small fortune to have a runner like this. Hopefully I can channel Martha Stewart and make my runner look just as amazing as yours!
