diy arch arrangement

Hi everyone! My step mom and I are attempting to do all our own flowers for the wedding, so this is a new concept for me. I wanted to arrange a bundle of babys breath on each side of the arch to tie back the material we are draping the arch with. How would you suggest doing this? I originally was looking into floral blocks but then realized babys breath is likely too delicate for that. Should I wrap the bundles in floral tape and then use zip ties and a pretty ribbon to secure it around the chiffon drape/arch? I am completely clueless about this 🙃 I have attached a photo as an idea (I will be using these on both vertical sides of the arch near where we stand, not at the top like the photo shows) thank you!!

Im thinking once the big white bow is in place, you could just shove the bundle (secured with floral tape- i like that) into the tied part of the bow.
I have some babys breath at home right now and some stems didnt make it into the water, they still look great and its been 4 days. That being said i wouldnt worry about hydrating them.

Floral tape and wire, wrapping the wire around the stems gives extra support and can help with shaping the arrangement. Do not try to force it into an already done arrangement, they are delicate and will break. Not only that but you want them to be secured as part of the arrangement and not just an after thought.

Hi Tia. This is a great idea and so pretty. It will look so beautiful when it's finished, are you incorporating delicate flowers like Babys Breath throughout your wedding decor?

As Monica mentioned, it has a very delicate stem so you want to avoid breaking this at all costs and wire would help give extra strength and support.

If you have time I would suggest doing a trial run with a couple of different option that you've been thinking about. You'll be able to see what method holds the best and how difficult it is to get your desired look.
