DIY Arch

I saw some good ideas on Pinterest. We are thinking about doing the same thing but can't agree on a design.

I plan on making my own. Buying the arch from Amazon and using Pinterest for decorating ideas

Yes! My FH built one that is similar to a pic on Pinterest. He used 2x4's and my FMIL and FSIL will help me decorate it this weekend. There are a lot of DIY arch eye candy on Pinterest!

We got a used one from a friend but I didn't like the way it looked so we are covering it in fabric draping and flowers. It's easier to use a premade one that is easy to disassemble if you have to move it to the ceremony and back somewhere else. I loved some in Pinterest but the wood ones look really heavy and not easy to pull apart and put back together.

Look on youtube! I watched a few tutorial videos that have been helpful.

A friend built this for us. It comes apart so it is easier to manage. Very easy to make.

I've seen some really nice ones others have made on Facebook groups. They usually sell them fairly cheap.

I'm planning to do the floral arrangements and buy an arch on somewhere like Etsy, but haven't found a lot of great tutorials yet for how to work with the floral foam on the arches. The best video I've found so far is titled "Flower Moxie DIY Pergola or Arbor." There's also some good pics on Pinterest that show arbors with undecorated floral foam so you can see how they're attached.

I found the first one on an old forum post that I really like for the ceremony arch. Third pic is inspiration.
