DIY bells for "Ring for a KIss"

My Daughter's Wedding, on July 6, 2016 at 3:31 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

My husband did not understand these but any weddings in our family over the years had bells and when someone would ring it that would signal to Bride and Groom to kiss. I have 2 type of bells. Over-sized round jingle bells I got from Pier 1 after Christmas last year and just attached the blue bows and then mismatched bells I got from thrift stores and added Gold leaves and blue bows. My dilemma is where to place the bells. If I put on the tables is it necessary to attach a tag saying "Ring for a Kiss" or would it be self explanatory? Or another scenario would e possibly a table in lobby as guest come in with bells and a framed picture giving instructions? Open for suggestions.

I would put them on the tables with a note card like this one.

That way everyone will know what to do.

Bells are a great idea, I hate when people clank glasses, wine stems, or China! Smiley smile

I would probably put them on each table and definitely attach something that says "ring for a kiss." Otherwise, guests might just take it as decoration. This is a cute idea- I've never heard of the bells before, just clinking glasses!

I ended up handwriting tag on white card stock with gel ball point pen. Cut tips but tried using heart punch and using blue paper but could not find something with fine print in white or gold for navy blue paper

They're cute! I'm putting a bell or two on each table but I haven't decided if I should attach a "ring for a kiss" tag or not.

Love your bells! We're doing them as well, however we're still in debate on putting a tag on them.

After talking to a lot f my friends they knew about the clanging glasses but not necessarily about bells so I figured I would make it self explanatory. I did dilemma about tags for quite a bit though.

I'm adding tags to mine as well - but was thinking "kissing bell" for the tags. I have a heart shaped punch so I plan on put them on white cardstock, punching the heart out around the words and then attaching with ribbon.
