DIY belly band - what did you use to attach?

I ended up getting some ribbon and glue dots. The make ones that are an inch long line of glue dot, I figured that would be best with the ribbon. AC Moore didn't have an amazing selection of ribbon, so I may check out what Amazon has.

They aren't necessary, but the invitations looked incomplete. I made up a template of a belly band and I liked it much more, so I figured I could do it much cheaper than ordering them online.

When I saw bellyband, I automaticly thought of the band you wear while you're pregnant because that's what they're called, lmao.

I was thinking to myself "why would you make one of those on you're own?"

I can't find the invitation thing called anything else lol

Are there other names for them? When I first started on WW I saw them called that. I didn't even know belly bands for invitations were a thing.

If I search belly band without invitation I do get those pregnancy bands lol

Im doing this now and the glue dots are not holding the ribbon. My test band snapped open after 3 mins
