Hey Ladies,

DIY bride on a budget here. I've decided I want to do small floral and greenery mixed wreath type pieces to put my center pieces on. I want to make something like in this picture but all the garland I can find is just greenery and all the artificial flowers I've found have very thick stems that are hard to weave into arrangements like this.

I want each wreath or garland to be about two feet in circumference or about 8 inches in diameter

Where did you buy your garlands and flowers?

Would starting with a foam wreath or embroidery hoop as a base be easier than molding the shape out of flowers and garlands alone?

Any advice is appreciated.

What I want to replicate but can be less full. cfb_1233601.jpg

I went to hobby lobby when all of their floral was 50% off. I think it ends up being 50% off about one week per month. I would think using a hoop of some sort would be easiest!

Don't know about the globes but the rest is wire, hot glue, and the kind of brass circles they sell at Joanne for cheap.

There’s a video on YouTube on how to make this using dollar store products. I just used my products that I got from Joann’s if you want to recreate it ☺️

Cool I think I found the tutorial. Never would have thought of looking for one on youtube. I'll have to get some dessert plates it suggested as a base but besides that right in the idea and budget I was going for.

Have you bought their flowers? Thoughts? I am considering buying eucalyptus garland and maybe the chair wreaths for the sweetheart table from them.

I did all of our centerpieces and the flowers all came from Dollar Tree. We prices Michaels and Hobby Lobby but even with their sales, Dollar Tree was still cheaper. Each bundle of flowers has 5-6 flowers on it and we bought close to 200 bundles. They do have a lot of greenery and even the wreath styrofoam frames too.

Yes! I just used them for my arch in my wedding and some other little decorations. They are beautiful and they look real. I didn’t take many pictures, but I’ll try to find some. My photographer commented that she thought my arch was real until she touched it.
