Diy- Decorated 2 Cheap ebay veils

Jennifer, on February 15, 2018 at 6:00 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 7

I bought some cheap veils on eBay and decorated them. I don’t really like how they came out...I think they might be a little too much. Maybe I need to be a little less heavy handed with the Mica flakes and tinsel glitter stuff. They are pretty though. What do you think?

Small scattered rhinestones would probably look better. Have you tried it?

Either rhinestones or glitter. I fear that your pictures will look like somethings caught in the veil. A smaller particle would be less obvious, glimmer, or not cause a shadow. Beautiful idea though!

No, not yet. I wanted something different. I think I am going to try to make another one with the gold mica flakes but use alot less flakes.

Uhmm... can you make me one? Or at least tell me how you did it? I absolutely love these, especially if your dress is simple.

It was pretty easy just a little tedious and really messy. Basically I used spray on adhesive and just sprinkled the mica flakes (or glitter stuff) on. But it wasn’t holding well so I had to individually press them down onto the veil. Some of the bigger mica flakes I had to use a tiny dab of hot glue to keep down. I don’t think these veils will hold up well for long wear but for one day they will do. I am going to make another one with the gold mica flakes but I am going to use a lot less. I think it would look better with a lighter sprinkling of the flakes.

I actually love these! They are faintly sparkly from far away without being glitter or rhinestones! I adore these and would buy one myself!

I don't think they are bad, but I would have to see it on your head with a dress on. Do try it on with a gown fitting. That should dictate which direction to go. I think smaller flakes and tiny pearls would be more romantic. I think also that the silver is more elegant than the gold.
