diy Florals: Bloominous??

Kimberly, on January 30, 2018 at 3:44 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

I have searched through these forums and every time this discussion gets left mostly untouched... I am planning on using Bloominous as my florist. I'm really not a florals person but some small nice florals for the wedding party would be lovely. I'm not picky, I'm not interested in going to floral consultations, and I'd rather just trust the experts. So far we've been BLOWN AWAY by Bloominous. They've customized absolutely everything for us, creating something completely unique for us, their prices are SUPER reasonable (two bridal bouquets, 12 bridesmaids bouquets (2 of them being toss bouquets), 3 boutonnières, and 2 corsages for $700), and are quick to respond. The only thing is it's all done online and the fully customized option means no "finished product" pictures. I could pay $60 to have a sample bridal bouquet sent to me but that's all. I'm fairly flexible though so based on the pictures of the individual florals she's sent me, I'm not concerned. I just want to know: has anybody here used them? Do you have any tips/advice? Any reviews? Pictures? I want to make sure I'm not getting excited for a vendor when in reality I'm missing something HUGE.

So, I will be of NO help, as I've never worked with them. But I just started chatting with Rachel on their website and I think pricing wise they are the PERFECT in-between compromise between DIYing and using a florist, and is the answer to all of my anxiety these last few days.

I hope to see some good reviews, because you just introduced me to who I think we'd like to book with.

Sorry I'm of no help, though!

Edit: If you can spare the extra money, I do think the sample is a good idea. It should put your mind at ease with the whole situation so there's no hesitation on your day.

I would defiantly get the sample, so you know what to expect on quality and appearance.

I'm working with Rachel too!! She's seriously proving to be the best!

I'm so back and forth on the sample but you're right, I'll probably end up doing it!

    *More tips welcome! (:

She seems super nice and helpful! I found weddingwire reviews and most are good - one or two here and there aren't great, but the pictures look great! Overall a 4.6 score isn't bad.

Here's the link, if this helps.

Originally I was going to go with them because it seemed incredibly less expensive than a local florist. They quoted me around $700 for everything I needed and it seemed awesome. My mom suggested I go to a few floral consultations and really discuss in detail what I wanted because what I was asking for was generally lower in cost so I may get a different quote in person. She was right. A local florist is going to do all the work for me and it's going to be literally 2 cents more than Bloominous. I don't have to worry about putting them in water and putting them together, they'll just all be delivered to me. I really was going to do it through them but it became clear that it wasn't actually going to be that cost efficient.
