It completely depends on what you want to do.

I bought a very cheap journal style book with blank pages, and recovered it to fit with my theme. I did a slightly complicated thing with rolled pages from Harry Potter books to match my paper flowers. I've attached the picture though the picture doesn't show it off as good as it looks in the flesh.

But it really depends on what you want to do.

There's lots you can do. Pinterest and Etsy are your friend...lol If you can cut and glue paper, you can create a unique guest book.

I got this idea off of Etsy which will be easy for me to make.

Forgot the link to this if you want to buy it.

I ended up buying a decorative box from marshals and going to put it near the photobooth with silver pens for people to add a message on the back. figure we don't want a traditional guestbook, and we can think of something later to do something with them.

My guests will sign a balloon....kind of like the tree with leaves idea. I like the idea of being able to hang it somewhere and it's very cheap for me to make. I already have all the paper. The cost will be the frame, which i don't have to buy till i want to hang it.

I'm spray painting a tree in gold and will have them sign and give a word of advice, if they want and hang it on the tree. I'm not big on guest books.

I'm making one of these. The cost to make it is around $40 total for all of the supplies, whereas to buy the size we need on Etsy is between $150-$200 plus shipping.

ETA: the link I used to make it. If you go this route though, I'll warn you that Michael's no longer carries the frame kits. I could only find them at Hobby Lobby.

I'm doing a few tree branches (real if I can get them) with leaf shaped paper that our guests will put good advice or well wishes on and than hang from the tree branches.

Idk if you are religious, but we are doing a bible with our names engraved on the front for them to highlight their favorite verse and sign their names by it. We are also planning on doing a couple blank scrapbook pages for them to sign.

I'm taking 3 different large glass jars and putting a 1, 5 and 10 on them in glitter red letters and then on a sign next to it I have "A bucket list for the Bride & Groom. Leave a note, an idea, a plan, but most importantly an ADVENTURE! We promise to complete this list in a lifetime....xoxo The Maars"

The guests will fill out chalkboard tags with their "bucket list" ideas and put them in for our 1 year, 5 year or 10 year anniversary. Smiley smile

I bought a photo album and 5 by 7 note cards for everyone to write on. The photo album I bought had a picture in the front and we picked one of our engagement pictures to go on it and I found some stickers that worked well with the style that said thing like our wedding and forever! I bought a plain guest book pen from Wal-mart and decorated the base of it with the same stickers. It worked out even better than expected! I also like that it doesn't take up a lot of room and it's fun to read what everyone wrote!

@Jaklyn This is what I am doing too. Hobby Lobby keeps running out of hearts, I have taken so much work to get like 250 of them, I was still working on a frame, so thanks for the heads up!
