I've never done anything like this but it's a great unique idea that is certainly something different from what most people do .

We made one for my fiancé for Father’s Day with his son’s hand print and a written note. We got an expensive, high-quality platter, and the highest-rated food-safe and oven-save paint markers (the kind that you have to bake after applying), then sealed it with food-safe sealant. It was adorable!! But the paint ultimately ended up starting to come off 😕 If you go this route, and want to keep it forever, I’d suggest getting it professionally sealed (and asking them what materials to use for the signatures). Then just put it behind glass!

That's so cute! I would definitely do a trial run. I'm not craft either so I know I would need one.

I would make sure there are no kids at the wedding. I might strangle the person who drops the plate and breaks it (especially when there is alcohol)
