DIY indoor wedding arbor

Andria, on June 13, 2014 at 8:13 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 2

I am having an indoor wedding in November, and the ceremony will be at the reception site. We have been trying to do as much DIY stuff as possible to save money, and we aren't hiring a florist. I am struggling with decorations for the ceremony, but think that I really want an arbor of some sort. Do any of you have any good ideas for indoor wedding arbors that are (somewhat) easily put together that day and that don't look cheap?

Thanks for your help!!

I am doing the same thing. My sis has a coworker that is pretty savvy with building things, and she says a nice one can be done for about $60 in materials (free labor in DIY). I guess you can go to the library and get building plans for them! Make a copy or borrow the book and build it! Lowes (are they a nat'l chain?) has a nice wooden one for about $100 too.

    Hope this helps!

Www.shindigz.com has fabric arches and columns. Depending on what you're looking for they can be really reasonable. I've ordered from them for several events.
