You could not find any pictures or instructions online? I watched a YouTube video and made mine out of kraft paper.

This is what ours looks like. I cut the silver band from craft paper and glued the monogram on myself. Smiley smile Cheap and easy!

There are many tutorials online! Keep in mind that those will add weight to your invitation though. We kept our simple so we didn't have to spend a ton of money on stamps.

I've heard the ribbon gets squished in the invite and doesn't look as good after going thru the mail. We did the band, sparkly gold like HereComesTheYorks. and looks really nice! We had them done so I'm no help on the actual Dyi but thought I would throw out the ribbon info I heard.

I am making a belly band for mine. I bought my invites through a groupon at Zazzle and wanted to spice them up a bit. I bought craft paper and am cutting it into 2'' strips and I bought shutterfly photo stickers of one of our engagement pictures to hold the belly band closed. I just got all the materials but I haven't started it yet- just made a trial run and it looks great!

Edit for my 2'' strips and 150 invites- I got 38 pages of 8 1/2'' x 11'' paper! It was only $11 since it was 50% off.

Look for glitter or shimmer paper in the craft stores or online and cut in strips.

All really great ideas.... I also found this on youtube. Looks pretty doable. But worried now bout the postal being more like FutureMrsWalton said.

We made ours using the "mini-card" from Wedding paper divas. This is one mockup, we ended up using the gold vellum in the background as it didnt crease or tear like the glitter paper did. The glitter paper also shed glitter which annoyed the hell out of me.

I just bought the scrapbook size and cut it with my small craft paper cutter. Was super simple and way cheaper than buying it online. I think I did all 115 invites for about $10 not including the mini card.
