DIY painting wine bottles for centerpieces

Private User, on September 14, 2014 at 9:30 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 3

Does anyone have any advice on painting wine bottles? I had bought a can of chalkboard paint and a roller from home depot for my centerpieces to write the table numbers on with chalk. I did this before my floral appointment and my florist suggested steering away from writing on the table numbers as they had just done a wedding and they had to redo ALL of the table numbers bc the chalk had wiped off. I bought a can of regular black spray paint and havent painted yet. Does anyone have any pointers? the last time I did this with the chalkboard paint i was told to use a primer and that actually made things worse.

With the chalk, just use a paint pen and it will stay. You may want to use spray paint instead. I've used that plenty and I love it.

I'm in the process of spray painting wine bottles gold. I think spray paint is definitely the way to go, and use a chalkboard pen instead of regular chalk. The chalkboard pen won't erase unless you use water and a rag. Good luck!

I did this and used spray chalkboard paint with white paint pens. Worked great! Good luck!
