DIY Save the Date magnets?

LauraM, on April 12, 2016 at 1:46 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 7

I just watched a YouTube video on diy save the date magnets and it seemed relatively simple. Has anyone else done this before? Is it worth it to just have someone do it for you?

Honestly, you can get them for super cheap through places like Vistaprint so I'd opt to save yourself the time!

I printed my own Save the Dates (through Walgreens photo) and purchased a strip of adhesive magnets and adhered one to the back of each print before mailing off. I liked the idea of making it easy for guests to put them on the fridge but didn't want the entire save the date to be one big magnet. They turned out great and everybody seemed to love it. I spent under $10.00 for 40 save the dates.

I'd be careful on DIY, you never know what it'll come out like. Definitely do a trial run before making a final decision... you don't want to be a pinterest fail. (or youtube)

I did mine myself! Staples has business card size magnets that you peel & stick a "business card" to. I printed wallet size engagement pics with the date (using paint program) at Walgreens! Voila. 100 for like $20 (ps the pics color is off but they look great in person!)

I'm looking to send out save the date magnets as well. Using Shutterfly or vista print are good options which are relatively low in price. I would rather pay the extra few cents and have it done professionally rather than sitting there putting in a bunch of hours creating it on my own, especially since our guest list is nearing 200
