DIY save the date postcards

Amanda, on October 13, 2015 at 10:31 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 14

Hello,

I have decided to make my own save the date postcards by creating both the front and back image. I LOVE what I came up with, but now I need to find the right place to print it at. Does anyone have suggestions? I have looked at many sites and so far, I like Uprinting.com and vistapint.com . Is there somewhere else that I should be looking? and Has anyone used these sites? What do you think of your end result?

Thank you!!

A lot of my brides have used vistaprint and were pleased with the result.

I ended up printing my STDs myself (I have an inkjet printer and bought nice paper). But, Vistaprint is a good option. I think Staples, Kinkos, Costco, etc. all have printing services too. My cousin used Costco and they were pleased with the results.

I've heard of people using Costco, Staples, etc. Vistaprint always has such awesome deals going on though. If you place an order with them, make sure you look for a coupon code first!

Thank you all! I think I will end up using vistaprint. I just really want a proof before I order 100. I think I will call them today and check their policies. Thank you again.

I bought a template on Etsy that allowed me to use Photoshop to add my own photos, change text etc. Then I uploaded it to Vistaprint. I'm happy with the result. I've seen better quality from other places, but for the save the dates its perfectly acceptable.

    I did postcards and used nextdayflyers.com. I think I paid about $30 for 100. I LOVED them.

We dd vistaprint and loved it! It was around $35 for 100. We upgraded to have color on both sides and for the heavier paper too. We got them super quick too- like 4 days after placing our order (and we just used the free shipping).

Moo.com is very affordable and doesn't have hidden "printing fees." That's where I did my Save The Dates for over sea guests which included travel information.

I don't think Vistaprint will give you a printed sample. But I used them for holiday cards and I was happy with them.

I used my own printer and bought nice paper. I had OfficeMax cut the paper to size for me

I used Catprint and loved them. I used them for my invitations as well. The quality is great and their prices are much cheaper than vistaprint. They'll even send you a paper sample package for free.

We actually just ordered ours from Walmart.com, I get to pick them up in store this Sunday. I only needed 16 of them (tiny, casual, VERY non-traditional 2nd wedding) so most of the other places I looked I would have had to order at least 25 and I hated to have that many extra on hand. I'm getting excited to see how they turned out! I've ordered postcards from there before and the quality was good. Smiley smile
