Diy selfie / photo booth station

Hi guys, I've been debating what to do about a photo booth. There's lots of super cute diy photo backdrops on pinterest with wallpaper and cute picture frames for people to stick their heads through. My dad said he will make me one for my wedding. Is it tacky to just have that there with a table of props to use, without a way for people to take the photos with the expectation for them to use their phones? Me and FH both think it's a good idea but I am also kind of on the fence, thinking it may be tacky to just have people take their own photos and not provide a means for them to do so. The backdrop will be super cute and I'll get lots of fun props. People always post their photo booth pics online anyways. I either want to do this or get a photo booth, no in between because I don't want to deal with the technical stuff myself. Opinions please!
