This is a project I have been longing to get to! I needed to wait until close the wedding as these are a pain to store (wrapped on a hanger so they don't wrinkle). What does everyone think? This isn't completely done, I am adding more strips as we speak, I want a very full look!! This is for the...

Ooh I like it! It definitely would look better if it was more full, and I'd even add a layer of tulle or something behind it, just to fill in any gaps and make it look fuller. We did something similar for my sister's wedding, with 2 colors of tulle.

Okay. Describing your overall wedding feel, that makes sense. You're right that tulle wouldn't go. This makes sense in a rustic setting with your color scheme. Sorry for the confusion!

I actually really like this! My imagination is pretty good so I can easily see past the lens and visualize what it must look like in person. Smiley smile pretty! And I really like the fabric with the flowers!

I have never seen this done for a table before. Maybe if you mix some color linens in with them it will look better.

@Future Mrs Kelison- There are touches of pinks in there (my wedding color) it's difficult to see with my icky camera! @Shamaybecakes- Thank you!! I'm really frustrated because I know if the ladies that thought it looked gross saw it in person it would be a different story! lol I'm hoping our pro pics will capture the whimsy and beauty of it! Thank you!

I think that it looks cute. i can tell that the details in the fabric are getting lost in the picture. it will look great once you have a table cloth under it.

It looks so much better with the additional fullness. I kind of agree with adding tulle but only a few strips here and there. A light pink tulle will be very light on it's color but still give it a slight pop and bring out the rosettes more. Looking forward to seeing it progress!

I can start to see what look you are going for. I think maybe some light contrasting color strips to give it definition might work. but, its a cute idea. Can't wait to see the finished product. Also, in the context of the whole wedding theme, I think it will look very nice. Something fun and unique for the head table.

I think what may be throwing everyone off is the sagging. That's making the whole thing look a little sloppy. If you can keep that rope (or whatever you're using to hang them on) completely straight, it will look more polished. Secondly, are you having a solid color fabric behind the strips? I'd definitely add that. Lastly, while I know you're hanging them to keep them from wrinkling, be willing to iron or steam every piece if they aren't all crisp and completely wrinkle free. It will make a world of difference to the overall look.

It looks better as you've filled it in and added strips of contrasting color. Add a few more strips of contrasting color and I think you'll be great. Good start though Smiley smile

I like it but I do think you need some more contrast, like below, just add some colored ribbon here and there:
