DIY tall candle holders

Brittanie, on March 4, 2016 at 3:13 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 13

These came out so good! I am excited to use them for the entry way with big candles on top! Let me know if you want the details!

Me too Kerri! I'm coming to terms with not having the center pieces I've always dreamed of because of it.

I would definitely look into LEDs! I also saw this pin on Pinterest where you can melt wax from a real candle on to an led to make it look like its "dripping" I also think using those solar powered lanterns you can buy for the outdoors are a really smart idea. Charge them during the day and let them glow at night!

To make these I used an outdoor deck baluster. This is key because they are 2-3 dollars vs the indoor ones that are 9-15 dollars. I then used rosettes from Michales (4,2 large 2 small) glued and screwed it together. Spray painted it.

I really like the fact that tbe wood is pressure treated as well because that means you can use them outdoors at your home long after the reception!
