I think its oak but I will have to ask. I just know hubs made it with scrap wood from our garage. He's a carpenter so we have an entire garage full of wood lol.

Good job! Looks great. We are doing the same, I love the idea of putting it in the back yard and growing jasmine on it and seeing it everyday. But, I have a question. Where is your ceremony and do you think it will be difficult to transport? We want ours to be basically that style. Just curious what other ppl are doing.

Karyn our ceremony is an hour and a half away, my husband built it so it can be easily unbolted with a drill for transport and then reassembled. We have so much stuff we are hauling it on his trailer.
