We went to home depot got a very thin piece of birch wood, stained it (just one coat) FH found different styles of letting he liked and free handed everything in white pencil, then I went over everything with sharpie paint markers from Michaels. Super easy! We're going to attach a couple pieces of wood on the back so it will sit up right and not have to lean on anything

Love this!! I'm so torn between doing wooden signs like this, or chalkboard. I had been leaning towards chalkboard, but yours makes me reconsider!
