Diy wedding video

Nay, on April 1, 2022 at 6:33 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 9
Anyone just set up a camcorder for their wedding instead of getting a videographer? I have pretty much accepted that a videographer is just not in the budget. However i still want to capture the day so i want to buy and set up a camcorder, especially for the ceremony. Just looking for anyone else who did this??

Hey Nay! There's a website where you can get 5 HD cameras to use for your wedding! (Price is a little under $500). They also offer editing for an extra fee! Way cheaper than a videographer! Hope this helps💓

I would also look into capurtly, joy, and some other places that have really affordable videographers. Even try thumbtack! Definitely want to be able to have videos of your day

Hi Smiley smile We actually asked a friend of ours to hold the video and take the video for us and he did it for free for us. He actually did some taping at the reception for us too. Do you have a friend you could ask to do it for you as a favour to you guys? We didn't have a photographer either as they were very expensive as well so we just got people to take photos for us and we printed them out ourselves. Everyone just gave us their copies of their photos on a cd and we got some great pictures. They might not be as good as a professional one but we saved a lot of money.

I actually think this is a good idea. My ceremony isnt even unplugged, so i could rely on people's phone videos, but i want something consistently rolling

They do cost a lot of money and it is certainly a way to save money on the day of your wedding to have it done by a friend Smiley smile. I hope you can find a friend to ask who can help you out. Smiley smile

My had a phone set up on a tripod for the ceremony and speaches. We used Lovecast to livestream and then could download the video afterwards. It worked great for us but definitely isn't the same quality as if we had shelled out for a videographer.

Thanks, im not expecting it to be the same as a 2k videographer, but for 100 bucks, i think i will be happy. And then im thinking i will pay a video editor another 100 or so dollars to put it all together for me

We had ours professionally done but we did a 2nd version for just ourselves where we edited the video and added more clips to it - if you are savvy with video editing or know someone willing to help, i do not see why not!

I feel like i would end up doing this anyway, so many videographers only offer like 20-30 minutes, but i want a whole movie lol
