Here are my wedding shoes that I DIY strassed myself using E6000 glue and 5 different sizes of swarovski crystals in AB.

I also bought a bow shoe clip from etsy and strassed it as well to go with the shoes.

I actually used real Christian Louboutins for these, but only because I fell in love with the real Fifi Strass from Christian Louboutin that sell for $3,000. I was NOT going to be able to afford it for that amount, so I decided to just DIY it for 1/3 of that price.

First pic is of the shoe, sans bow. Second is with the DIY bow I made (it's a shoe clip, so you can remove it or wear it in a different location). Third pic is the work in progress (for those of you who are confused as to what I meant by "DIY"~Yes, I added the crystals myself. It took a total of 40 hours for the pair, and 15 for the bows)

Wow, Esther, you are very talented. I know it's summer break, but I still don't see how you find time to do everything you're doing. Hats off to you.

After reading 7 pages of absolute crazy, I'm glad things have quieted Smiley winking

Esther, why are you so awesome? First, I fall in love with your adorable website and now this? Who makes shoes that awesome?! You do, obviously. I wish I had the guts to even try to do something like that. Very good job, girl!

    @ *Peacock*TheStripper *.

haha i love your name and the sweet comment you just left me! Thanks for that Smiley smile haha funny story...when I was little...I used to strut around with a towel stuffed down the back of my shorts because I liked to pretend I was a peacock (true story).

@Hayley C. I will definitely be taking you up on that offer! thanks for the warm welcome Smiley smile

I was thinking about this last night and adding to what I said before I can kinda understand wanting to use actual CLs.

I really like the Manolo Blahnik's SJP wore in SITC*, but can't afford them so I'm planning on getting a nice but much less expensive pair and adding a buckle or broach to glam them up a bit.

Now, I can't afford even a plain pair of MB's but I still want a decent pair of shoes, and as I'm going to wear them afterwards might as well treat myself to the best brand I can afford, even if I am going to take a needle to them Smiley smile

*- I know hers were blue but my theme is purple.

    @ Future Mrs.S

Haha yeah I am actually (ironically) not really a shoe girl~I like purses more Smiley winking

I'm actually normally of the attitude of "what...why would I spend so much money on something I'm going to walk around in crud with?" SO I can understand why people would think I was CRAZY for spending so much on my shoes...even if they were still cheaper than the original I was going for...

haha BUT then I actually ran across this stupid wedding blog (http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/most-comfortable-bridal-shoesbrand) about a month ago, which foolishly convinced me that I needed to get really nice shoes for my wedding (but it's only for one night...i'm only getting married once...blahblahblah) and then I was SOLD hook, line, and sinker.

I'm more of a handbag girl myself, although lately with my two toddlers it's more of a nappy bag thing, lol. Looking forward to buying a few frivolous things (for myself) for a change - probably why I'm gone a bit crazy on shoes that don't need to be 100% practical Smiley laugh

@Esther - Haha thanks! My name is related to a past post on here a while back. Not everyone can be a peacock stripper Smiley winking As for the towel - adorable. I was a flamingo one halloween but that is as close to trying to be a bird that I've been until now.

@Future Mrs.S - I love purple shoes and those look awesome! I'm hoping to get a pair to wear under my wedding gown (if only my mom would stop giving me a hard time about it!).

@Esther K: No problem! Sorry your welcome to WW was a bit crazy. I hated the Knot, people on there were soooo boring and they didn't help at all. I'm on WeddingBee too, and I love it! Btw, your default picture is very pretty.

Esther- random question, but did you get your CL's from online or a store? It's my dream to wear CL's on my wedding (and it's not going to happen unless a small miracle happends) but i'm afraid of buying online because A- i'm not sure what size I'd be, and B- i have a weird extra low ankle bone and a lot of shoes hit it wrong, so I'd want to try them on first.

So just curious if/where there are stores in the US that carry them.

@ Shellie D. I got my CLs from the store (Barneys on Rodeo Drive). I don't know if you are near any stores that have them but just so you know, they fit true to size. I'm a 5 1/2, and they fit me PERFECTLY. Haha and I almost that you said you had an extra toe when I first skimmed your post Smiley smile but I have a hard time finding shoes that fit me comfortably around the ankles too but the CLs were actually extremely comfortable.

@ Syndey~aww thanks Sydney for the warm welcome! Haha my WW welcome was interesting, to say the least Smiley winking haha and I love your profile pic too! Damn~your teeth are really white (sorry if this is a bit random and awkward) but do you bleach them? I'm only asking because I am bleaching mine for my wedding (I'm doing the trays right now as I type)

@ Future Mrs. K ~ thanks for the warm welcome as well Smiley smile Haha and it's good we are defining it as "patience", rather than as me having WAY too much time on my hands...haha which is funny because I am actually super busy, but a lot of it is self-inflicted because I keep adding more onto my plate even when I already have stuff piling over the top Smiley smile
