DIY/Printable Invitations & Signs

Briley, on February 19, 2016 at 1:57 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 21

Brides;

I was thinking about purchasing some DIY signs off of Etsy. You can buy them and then print them yourself. It seems like a really good way to save money on invitations. Plus one of the shops I found has matching signs. Do any of you have experience with finding your own print shop/printing digital files off of etsy? Let me know! Smiley smile

    I ordered my invitations from a site called optimalprint.com they were 50% off so for 25 we spent 27.00. Free shipping and they look as good as ones I have done myself for other functions.

    We ordered the design on etsy and printed through vista print. Worked well for us.

    I did! Ordered a sign and they sent it in an easy to download file and I sent it to staples for printing! I think I paid 15 to have it printed.

    Thank you! Eta: I did the diy invites as well. Used a template from ahandcraftedwedding.com but I think it ended up costing more with supplies! If I could do it again, I would have ordered through a website!

    I got several signs from here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/WeddingAffections

    I also got a couple of custom ones (my guestbook involves postcards so I wanted it say something about it) here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/iDoTags <-- I haven't received this in the mail so I can't say how great they are. But the WeddingAffections shop is great and I love what I got.

    I haven't printed ours yet, but I did buy a digital file for a sign from an Etsy shop. I think like @Christina I'll have it printed at Staples. Hers turned out beautifully!

    Below is our wedding sign. Smiley smile

    Thank you @Christina! It looks much brighter digitally, but prints out as a nice water color. Smiley smile

    I'm thinking about using this shop because they have matching suites. Table numbers, invitations, and everything. It's really nice. Smiley smile

    I definitely recommend working with a local printer (not Staples or Kinkos). Their printers and paper aren't the best. I diy-ed my invites and signs too Smiley smile

    Be careful of staples. I ordered my daughter birthday invitations there, when I ordered off etsy she had warned me about not printing then there. I didn't listen. They came out pink, suppose to be purple. Staples insisted it was because colors are different from screens to print (very true but not a totally different color!) I ended up printing myself and guess what! They printed purple!!

    I will be ordering my invitations from the etsy shop Karma K Wedding. I plan to use Catprint to print the invites and am buying the pocket folds and envelopes from Papers and More. I've heard great things about both and they seem to be the most economical option. Best of luck!!

    We used Etsy for our invites and we couldn't be happier! I had them printed at Office Max and everything has turned out perfectly. I upgraded to the high-quality card stock and this made all the difference.
