dj Contract

Hayd, on January 30, 2024 at 6:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 2

I signed a digital contract for a DJ and dropped off the check in person about a week ago and was told I would receive additional information that night (which I never did). Since the check never cleared and I never received the email I decided to follow up f. The response I got was a little alarming, the rep I am working with told me they’re still waiting for it to come in the mail…. This prompted me to put a stop payment on the check in case it is lost. Any advice on how to get out of this contract? Per the contract, I owe 50% of the total.

Ask to speak with the owner. Let them know that you made a deposit and then the issues with the bank started (not on your side). Because of that, you don’t want to continue services. Since they didn’t receive the deposit and you did a stop payment, you should not have to pay any remainder and you should be clear to find a different dj company.

This could be a mistake and the person with whom you dropped the check off did not properly communicate to the higher up's who process money and perform client services. Ask the owner what happened and let them know your concerns. If you are not satisfied with their response and you think this reflects suspect disorganization, then as Michelle says inform them you will take your business elsewhere. Good luck.
