Dj noise level?

Michelle, on January 7, 2021 at 3:45 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6
I've noticed that alot of venues say loud music is not allowed. Does that mean that a dj cannot play? Or do they adjust accordingly? Obviously you don't want it so loud that it disrupts any neighboring facilities or guests wanting to chat in the same room.

You can ask if they don't allow DJs.

I would guess it means they have a decibel limit and a time limit on music.

My assumption is that it cannot go past a certain loudness. Check with your venue to be sure before booking a dj

I would confirm with the venue exactly what they mean. It might be a decibel level and probably a certain time they can play til. I’ve never heard of people really having a problem with a DJ

Confirm with your venue and ask them exactly what they mean by that. I agree with Cyndy, it could just mean that they don't want music above a certain decibel level. A lot of venues don't allow DJs to have subwoofers, so I would also ask them if that's what they are referring too!

I would check with the DJ before booking a venue.

Just clarify with them. Ours has that policy because it's located in a neighborhood. Basically it just means that their on site staff person has the right to tell us to turn down music and that we also have a specific time that all music has to be off (11pm) due to neighborhood regulations.
