dj prices

Kyla, on September 10, 2021 at 4:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 13
How much is everyone paying for a DJ? I'm trying to get an idea of different prices. The venue my husband and I have chosen has different packages for their DJ(some of the packages incluse a slide show of pictures for guests to see). I'm trying to make sure that we get a good deal.

I'm paying 1450 for ceremony through reception (6.5 hours) with an up lighting package and a custom logo being shown onto the wall behind FH and I.

We paid 2k for the DJ from 7pm to 130am. And an additional 1k for the touch screen photo booth.

Price depends on your location. A large city will have a range from very inexpensive to very expensive while a small town will have one choice. Most djs are willing to travel from a mid size city to a smaller town. Even then, no two djs are the same. Some will sell you lighting and other extras, while others are mainly cheesy and want to hear themselves and aren’t willing to anything you ask because they have a set script.

$1350 for Ceremony and Reception music (total 6 hours) No cocktail hour music, as that portion of the event is in several different areas of the venue. My DJ suggested this, as he is familiar with my wedding/reception venue!

$2000 from 4:30-10pm (plus setup and breakdown) includes music, mics and sound system and all that during the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception. It also includes uplighting. We’re in an expensive city though.

We are paying about $700 for ceremony and reception. That includes microphones, sound system, all music, uplighting, and a guitar hookup. I am in a smaller, affordable location though. I was definitely surprised with how affordable our DJ is.

Our DJ is $899 for 5 hours which includes uplighting. We are in an upscale area so I find this price to be very reasonable.
