DJ service with Hora Loca

Gigi, on May 9, 2013 at 7:37 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 6

I have one last thing on my list and that would be a DJ... No one seems to know about this South American tradition and the one DJ I found locally that is... is quite pricy... Has anyone had a company or has heard of a company that thye would recommend?? Thanks in advance Smiley smile

Well, if you're going all out with it, the parties can last into the morning with breaks for food. Have you tried seaching the WW vendors at all? If the one you found was pricey, did he detail how many hours that included?

I haven't to be honest with you... I know he covers the 4 hours of reception and with the addition of la hora loca just a bit too pricy... :-/ in your experience how much would you think would be reasonable for 2 samba dancers and one drummer...?

I haven't had any call for it up here yet. I'm sure with time, there may be a time it catches on with our strong hispanic population growing in the NE. I did some initial research and the only price I could lock down was $350.00 per dancer.

There are DJs listed in Florida that specialize in La Hora Loca. You may want to get a few estimates. If you want to skip the dancers, any DJ could play the same songs for your guests and you could think of creative ways to liven up the party such as masks and/or easy costumes.

I'm not in your area but if I can help you more, feel free to ask away.

Gigi, can't help you with la hora loca but just wanted to throw in that I did a wedding last year with 3 Samba dancers and 4 drummers. It was absolute crazy energy. In this case, I was given a few tracks to play which the drummers played along with while the dancers danced. It's a great option to add.

Thank you sooo very much for the input guys Smiley winking

I'm from Lima, Peru... I'm getting married at the Addison restaurant in Boca Raton, Fl. I would love the samba dancer or 2... 2 stilt walkers and maybe a drummer... Confetti cannons would be awesome too but that would be an extra pending costs etc..
