Has anyone ever heard of the DJ wanting full payment before the event?

We had to pay our dj in full prior to the wedding. In fact, the only vendor we didn't have to pay in full prior to the wedding was our videographer.

I think it's pretty standard to pay in full before the wedding? We had a live band, not a DJ, but we definitely had to pay in full before the wedding

I found the DJ online and didn't know this. But actually, I've heard payment in full before and an the day of. But I'm feeling better now.
