Do I even need a ceremony backdrop?!

Heather, on April 10, 2016 at 12:20 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 18

I'm absolutely IN LOVE with my venue, it's gorg! I think it might need something up front but what I want is roughly $600 (ummm NO not if its for a 30 minute ceremony) so I'm wondering if I even need anything. At the front of the aisle I'm doing lanterns filled with flowers and then petals down the sides.

Ive put a few pix below

Picture 1 is the venue and picture 2 is in the comments and is the infamous $600 arbor

No. I think the arbor works for an outdoor wedding but completely is unnecessary for your space.

I think your venue is beautiful! Adding the arch would take away from it! Save yourself the money!!

I agree the arbor is for outdoors. Your venue is beautiful and has sophisticated simplicity. Leave it just how it is. It's perfect.

I don't think you need a backdrop. The venue is so beautiful already.

Your space is gorgeous! I actually don't really like the arbor. I don't think it would like right inside either. I say save the $600!

I think the arbor is beautiful, although I agree with PP that you don't need it. However, if your ceremony and reception are in the same space, you could use the arbor as reception decor/photobooth backdrop, etc. So, if you really love the arbor and you're conflicted on cost, you might be able to justify it if you can use it throughout the whole night.

The space is gorgeous. I second Jaci's idea to have some tall flowers on either side of the couple. You wouldn't need anything more than that.

You already have a focal point, so I agree that the arbor is unnecessary. Maybe some large flower arrangements?

I would say you don't need it. Your venue is stunning and I think the simple-ness speaks for itself

You don't need a backdrop, in my opinion. It's a gorgeous venue that doesn't need much. Love the White Room, btw! Toured it when we were venue shopping.
