Do I HAVE to have a bouquet?

I am a "girly" girl, but not one who is into flowers...well okay, my budget isn't into flowers. :-) I'm pretty sure I will end up carrying a bouquet, but am interested in alternatives. Anyone have any ideas for something I can carry OTHER than a bouquet? I've considered carrying a single flower... ...

    I don't understand why you have to carry anything? I am currently planning my wedding and I will not be carrying a bouquet or anything else. There is an article online that lists 25 things to carry instead of flowers. I am sure there are plenty of ideas out there but it should reflect who you are and also they style of your wedding. A friend of mine had her brides carry lanterns instead.
