Do I need a guestbook?

I've been looking for one but I wonder if it's worth the money? If I get one, I want it to be a nice one that lasts and fits with my decor so I can keep it in my bookcase in my living room. So I don't want some cheap cliche "guestbook." I just wonder if any married ladies have any thoughts on this....

We're doing a photo booth that we will make into some kind of collage later and a regular Shutterfly guest book with our engagement photos in it. We figure we will have all of our bases covered that way. I put FH in charge of the guest book and he did a wonderful job putting it together. I think we will definitely look at it again. Groupon is running a Shutterfly special right now and you can get a cheap hardcover one for around $10.

We're doing one...we just got it in the mail today actually. Its a wedding guest album. We used all of our engagement pictures. We ordered it through Shutterfly and paid $35 for 22 pages.

We decided on the jenga thing. We will be purchasing two of the games to accommodate all of the guests, but it will be well worth it in the end as we love to play.

Thanks All! I feel better about skipping the guestbook now. i like the shutterfly idea, but since we did not do engagement photos, I can't really do that. I might make a scrapbook with the cards we get and that will suffice for me. My FH says skip it! He doesn't think we need one and doesn't remember ever signing one at the weddings he has attended. Honestly, neither can I. Guestbooks must not be a thing in our circle.

I bought one that goes on the wall. It isn't here yet despite ordering it in freaking APRIL, but hopefully it will be nice when it does arrive which the woman says will be soon.

We're doing putting "Wed-Libs" on everyone's table for them to fill out and then drop in a basket on their way up to the buffet line. We'll put them all in a book. Way more fun to look at it than pages of signatures.

Ooo.. Trisha. That's a cool idea. Knowing my family they would turn out some pretty inappropriate mad libs. I guess that's okay as long as i don't plan to show them to my future children until they are teenagers.

For our wedding were doing a shadow box picture frame that has a picture of us in the middle and then it comes with little wooden hearts for the guests to sign and drop into the frame. This way we can hang it up in our house and have a picture of us surrounded by loved ones
